Major Gifts Officer Highly Regarded National Nonprofit Minnesota - Primarily Remote Salary Range Gladly Provided Upon Request Bonus Potential Excellent Benefits Currently Including: 100% Covered Health Care Premiums (Medical, Dental, Vision): Premiums are fully covered for the employee and dependent family members. Terrific primarily remote Major Gifts Officer position based in Minnesota with a highly regarded national nonprofit. This new MGO role will cultivate, solicit, and steward major donors and prospects to grow the major giving portfolio within the region of Wisconsin, Iowa, Minnesota, and the Dakotas. There will be a focus on donors with the capacity to give at the $25k level. Excellent communication skills and the ability to connect with donors are essential for this role. Responsibilities: Provide moves management to a major gifts portfolio of current and prospective donors, securing gifts of $25k Develop and grow the major gifts portfolio for the region Implement cultivation strategies and develop donor communications to grow a major gifts portfolio Leverage wealth screening software and the Salesforce CRM for fundraising initiatives Effectively communicate the organization's mission to funders Provide projections and reporting for the donor portfolio Travel to meet with donors and prospects, as needed Qualifications: Approximately 3 years of major gifts fundraising experience; ideally 5 years Bachelor's degree preferred Experience with individual gifts and multi-year commitments Demonstrated track record utilizing moves management strategies to secure at least 5-figure gifts Go-getter with an entrepreneurial mindset Ability to story tell and convey the organization's mission in a way that connects with donors Collaborative and able to work well within a dispersed team Equal opportunity employer.
