About the Job


The Cardiovascular Division at the University of Minnesota has a regional and national reputation. The goal of this recruitment is to support the growth and expertise of adult congenital cardiology clinical care and research. The division is now recruiting a cardiologist to expand this mission as a member of the program. The candidate will work closely with Cardiovascular Division, the Clinical Chief, and Lillihei Heart Institute leadership to expand the University's clinical and academic missions. Clinical efforts will include but are not limited to University of Physician clinics, general cardiology hospital service, and outreach clinics.
Qualifications


Applicants must have an M.D. or equivalent degree and have demonstrated high-level qualifications in education, research, and clinical care. Internal Medicine board certified or board eligible status, Cardiology Board certified or board eligible, and a Minnesota medical license is required. Board certified or board eligible in adult congenital cardiology. Required areas of expertise and advanced training and expertise in patient care management of adult congenital cardiology. Proven knowledge and success in clinical research skills. Candidates should have experience in supporting medicine post-graduate fellowship training. Candidates should be recognized for the provision of clinical excellence, a publication track record of successful research, and experience and knowledge in grant submissions for external funding. Applicants must have the ability to receive work authorization in the United States from the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services and maintain legal status according to the requirements of VISA category while in the United States.
