secure your future. Responsibilities Verifies, documents and
maintains all information used in calculation and delivery of
radiation doses given to patients. Analyzes and evaluates equipment
performance used in the delivery of radiation therapy. Provides
technical assistance and clinical support to Consultant staff and
Allied health personnel as needed. Remains current in treatment
techniques and applicable medical physics practice. Provides
instruction to residents, dosimetry staff, therapy staff, pre and
postdoctoral students. Develops, and performs quality assurance
procedures and monitors radiation output, mechanical integrity and
safety of equipment used in radiation therapy. Remains current on
Federal, State, and Institutional safety guidelines. Qualifications
M.S., M.M.P., D.M.P., or Ph.D. in Medical Physics or a master's
and/or doctoral degree in Physics or a related field. Completion of
a CAMPEP (Commission on Accreditation of Medical Physics Education
Programs) accredited residency in Therapeutic Medical Physics.Is
expected to Credential in any procedures practiced independently,
but is not expected to be credentialed in all services we provide.
N/A Exemption Status Exempt Compensation Detail Compensation range
is $176,196.80 - $264,347.20 annually. Education, experience and
tenure may be considered along with internal equity when job offers
are extended. Benefits Eligible Yes Schedule Full Time Hours/Pay
Period 80 Schedule Details Nominally scheduled 0800-1700, but some
coverages start earlier and later than nominal. Weekend Schedule
Occasional weekend work may arise but is not nominally scheduled.
