Bar & Restaurant, and Villa Maria Position Overview: We are seeking
a high-performing, motivated Event Sales Manager to lead and grow
sales across our premier event venues: The University Club of Saint
Paul, The Commodore Bar & Restaurant, and Villa Maria. This
individual will be responsible for driving revenue, building client
relationships, and ensuring exceptional service throughout the
booking and event planning process. The ideal candidate is
proactive, organized, customer-focused, and excels in a fast-paced
hospitality environment. Key Responsibilities: Develop and execute
sales strategies to increase event bookings and maximize revenue
across all three venues. Respond promptly to event inquiries,
conduct venue tours, and convert leads into confirmed bookings.
Build and maintain strong relationships with corporate clients,
wedding planners, community organizations, and individual clients.
Prepare detailed event proposals, contracts, and invoices while
ensuring accuracy and compliance with company standards.
Collaborate closely with venue managers, culinary teams, and
operations staff to ensure seamless event planning and execution.
Attend networking events, bridal shows, and community functions to
promote our venues. Maintain an organized pipeline of leads and
track performance using CRM tools. Monitor industry trends,
competitor offerings, and market opportunities to stay competitive.
Meet or exceed monthly and annual sales goals. Represent the venues
with professionalism and warmth, providing exceptional customer
service at every touchpoint. Qualifications: 10 years of experience
in event sales, hospitality sales, or related field (wedding,
corporate, or social events experience preferred). Proven track
record of meeting or exceeding sales targets. Strong communication,
negotiation, and presentation skills. Ability to manage multiple
leads and events simultaneously with strong attention to detail.
Proficiency in CRM systems, event management platforms, and basic
office software. Self-motivated, results-driven, and able to work
independently as well as collaboratively. Flexibility to work
evenings and weekends as needed for tours, events, or client
